Re: The Anti-gardener.
if im not mistaking, call Citibank, Im pretty sure you can get up to $1500 per Card CLI with a soft pull, I think CitBank is changing their ways,
just make sure to ask if it would be "NOT" a HP to increase CLI, tell the Rep. if its a HP, you will NOT Authorize. or ASK can i get a credit limit increase without a HP?, explain why...
they already basically know whats on your reports via soft pulls and reviews.
I froze all (3) CRA's before i did this....and had success ...as always YMMV/YEMV
just my 2 cents.
someone please correct me if i'm wrong?

That's good to know for next time. I wasn't aware that Citibank did SP increases. In the past when I requested them they always came back and said that it was a hard pull. My reports were frozen back when I last tried to get a SP increase last year and I wasn't willing to get a hard pull for a CLI. I submitted requests with them being frozen before to Citi and then would receive a prompt to call in. When I called they would tell me that I needed to unfreeze my reports and I would just cancel the request rather than authorize that.
I agree with you wholeheartedly about them SP routinely and doing AR's. I personally don't see why any issuer who routinely monitors your credit would have a need to do a HP for a CLI request, unless more info is displayed on a full CR versus a SP.
