I'm in the same boat. Apped 6 cards (including 1 Chase) when already 4/12. No AA yet, coming up to 1 month. Only 1 new account reporting (not Chase), but a lot of inquiries. Can't do anything about it now but learn a lesson.

Congrats on your approvals! I hope the Chase one sticks. Just don't app anymore for a while and hope for the best.

Re: Think I got past the 5/24 rule by App-o-rama before Chase found out?

I did the same thing last year. In August, I’d just opened a few new cards with Amex, Discover, my local bank, and a CFU. In one week, I was approved for the Amazon Prime card and the CSR. The previous accounts had not posted to the bureaus at the time, so 5/24 was bypassed. All accounts are still open 1 year later, and since then, I’ve opened accounts with Home Depot and Lowe’s for some projects I was working on this spring, and a Citi DC. Plus a new auto loan. Tempting fate? Maybe. Utilization stays under 10%, I always pay my cards in full, and I never miss payments. All that to say, they’re no prize. You as a customer are, so don’t be nervous about what they decide to do.

Last year I thought I had gotten around 5/24 when this forum said the AARP card was exempt from it. Turns out it wasn’t. I was instantly approved and the card was shipped out. I guess there was a manual review because they cancelled the card in flight. When I got it out of the mailbox and tried to activate it, it was cancelled.
