Totally unexpected CLI from Macy's

This was absolotely the last card I apped for during my drapping spree last fall. My initial CL was $300. I used it to buy my wife a down comforter for Christmas. PIF'ed in January. I just opened my CK account and checked all my CL's and BLAMMO $1000 limit from Macys! This is the first increase I have recieved from any of the CL's I opened last fall OOOORRRRAAAA!

The same thing happened to me a few months after I got the card. Started in April with $300 and I was checking something on the telephone in September and it said I could spend up to $1000. I was pretty elated and thought I was king of the world lol. Anyway, congratulations on it. You can ask for an increase every four months and it has always been a soft inquiry for me.

If I remember correctly, Macy's is backed by American Express. Maybe a way to get my Gold Card back.

Store or amex version are not backed by Amex, they just use the network on the amex version
