UPDATE: Approved- Chances of getting an Amex & diff types of AmexSo

So I REALLY want an Amex, lol it's my dream card. I'm terrified to apply. Right now my EXP is 743. All my cards are paid off, I'm using less than 5% of my credit. The thing that worries me is I have 11 inquiries. That will drop to 8 in next 24-48 hrs bc I just called and got 3 that shouldn't be there removed. And they are all about a year old. So is there a big diff between 8 and 11 in their eyes and is that too many??

I did the pre approval thing the other day when my EXP was only 713 and was pre approved and now I'm 30 points higher but I've heard of a lot of ppl who get pre approved and still get denied so I'm nervous!! Also I've heard it's easier to get ones like the Hilton Amex etc than just a straight Amex? True? 
Any help on what to do would be great!!!

I went ahead and applied for the Delta Skymiles and got approved for $10,000.

I was kind of shocked bc I thought that they wld pull my EXP but they pulled TU, amd my score on that one was 702 when they pulled it.

Congrats on getting in with Amex !   They've been known to sometimes pull TU rather than EX, or occasionally pull both.

You guys are all awesome!!! Thank you so much!! It feels good!! Lol Amex has always been my ultimate goal. I'm still not sure how it works as far as if a reg amaze is harder to get than a delta, Hilton, etc... if anyone knows, I'd love your input!!
