UPDATE.....Chase sapphire- 7-10 day review..............Then:

1st off let me say, Thanks to everyone that contributes on here - it's truly a wealth of knowledge.

A little background:

I started rebuilding my credit 2 years ago (2014) I bought 2 cars (2014 Prius, 2012 LS460 within a month of each other, and applied to 2 CC's)

i should also add: I "live" on credit karma

currently: chase freedom                  (2000 CL)

chase slate                       (2200 CL) (both chase's opened 5 months ago)

FNB Omaha Amex           (3400 CL - original CL was 2200 (new CL is 2 months old) opened about 12 months ago

Cap one platinum  (upgraded to QS 1 month ago -but no CLI). (2300 CL) opened 18 months ago

(22 inquiries in last 18 months, ALL but 2 are falling off in August of this year)

               (1 "baddie")

               ZERO late payments

(All 4 CC's have a $0 balance (but I will charge them to their limit, then pay them off the next business day)

3/12-        After seeing my Amex on credit karma STILL showing a $1500 balance (it's been a zero balance going on almost 2 months)

I clicked on "offers" on credit karma and applied to chase sapphire preffered (it said my chances were "good") then I noticed (halfway through the app process) that my chances went down to "fair"....... I decided to finish applying anyway - and then got the "7-10 day wait" message..........

i came on here, found the RECON number and called them (3 hours later)  and they said a denied letter was already mailed out...... I spoke to the guy pretty eloquently and asked would chase consider cutting the CL on my other 2 chase cards and approving me for that amount on the sapphire- at which point he put me on hold, reviewed my account, came back on and informed me (after I told him I just paid off the Prius last month) that I would need to go to a branch to "verify my identity" (have my  uploaded, so i guess I have an alert on my credit file, with no phone number either)...... So I did that, called back, was told that "we've done all we can do on our end but the approval dept is closed on the weekend, you'll need to call this number on Monday for final approval".......... Called this morning and was told I need to go BACK to a branch because they need  a banker to call them in front of me to verify who I am......so I just did that, THEN was told "everything is done, expect to hear from us on a decision in 7-10 days, but my recommendation is to approve you"

thanks for reading.... With what was said.... What's the chances of me being  approved?

income is 75k/yr btw and my fico ranges from 653 to 786 and I also bank with chase

Update: just made my "daily phone call to the automated system and heard "approved"  with a CL of 5000

Welcome to the board.  Based on the info, you are going to get approved so hang in there.... Update the thread once you have your new card in hand.

Ficos?  640's probably..  Allthough not the normal.  Alot more goes into an approval than your Fico score.  640 range isn't common, but not unheard of.  More so 700+ is ideal for card with less than 5 accounts in 2 years.

Re: Chase sapphire- 7-10 day review..............Then:

Not only am I getting impatient...... I truly can't recall if the gentleman said "wait 7-10 days" or "30 days"....... Do these two different time frames pose a predetermined outcome?

also should I call back to confirm which timeframe I should be looking at for a response?  Or just "hold my horses"

Re: Chase sapphire- 7-10 day review..............Then:

What is your experian score? Chances are if that's the high one, then you should be good as Chase mostly(85%) use Experian. I received the 7-10 days after applying yesterday and went ahead and call their verification office. All they wanted to know is that it was me who applied and sent me a text to verify over the phone. Took 5 minutes and I was approve.

Re: Chase sapphire- 7-10 day review..............Then:

I just ordered fico's ultimate 3B (and now im more confused than i was before)

To answer your question my "experian fico score 8" is 746.......  But my experian "Bankcard Score 8" is 750 ........... Which is STILL LOWER than what it says on my chase dashboard (slate card) which says its 786. Which one of those experian scores do you think will be used?

(also experian  fico score 9 is the lowest of them all (for experian) at 729)

Re: Chase sapphire- 7-10 day review..............Then:

I think you should be fine. Just call the verification number and I bet they'll approve it.

Regarding the FIco Score, when was the last time your chase dashboard pull the score? There may be a high chance in difference day by day. Ignore the Fico 9 score for now as I don't think many creditor adopted it yet.
