Definately won't hurt joining...you have nothing to loose besides a HP on your TU report. As far as apllying for a CC there, bring down your utilization a bit and go for it (which would also result in another HP. Good Luck!!

Well if the OP opens an account, applies for a credit card, and cloc that is three hard pulls on your Transunion.
I had 580 Transunion , 130k income and 10 utilizaiton when I applied and got 6500 credit card limit and denied on CLOC. I am sure the Original poster will do much better. My limit was raised to 22k after 3 months albeit with a much higher credit score.
In your postion, I would not hesitate to join if you dont mind the HP for joining, then another if you apply for a CC
My scores are much lower than yours and I am glad I did not wait. I was slow playing it and opened a Share saving account online. A few days later was contacted by a CSR who assisted me getting the checking account started and by the end of the phone call I had a Platinum Card with a $3100 limit on scores in the mid 500's with 53% utilization. I was not even going to apply for the CC...I was going to start loading up the Share Savings for a secured card.I did not request anything other than that, and dont feel a CLOC is necessary for me at this time.

Yeah I never mentioned CLOC....but I agree..
I joined and decided to just apply. I CANNOT BREATHE! I got approved! 24K limit 13.8 percent interest rate!!!
told you so!!! lol j/k but seriously congratulations for that awesome CL!
Thank you!! Should I try for the LOC or is that pushing my luck? LMAO
I went for the CLOC as well. I got a message saying I should hear back in one hour. Is this common or do people get approved instantly?
I tried for the full 15K. If I get it that's 39K between the CC and CLOC at a lower rate than what I currently owe. I owe around 33K across a few cards.
