For those interested, I asked for a $1500 increase to a $7000 credit line (it's at 0% through August of 2018 and I'm continuing to take advantage of it, balance is about $4k).
I didn't hear anything after I submitted my request, and that was about two weeks ago. I logged into my account today to find the credit line increased to $8500. I haven't had any reports of inquiries on any bureau reports. I figured they had denied it because I hadn't heard anything at all, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had increased the credit line, especially after reading various posts here.
1. Requested CLI online. The note said that you were authorizing US Bank to obtain your credit report, but I had heard that requests at $1500 or under didn't necessarily necessitate a hard pull, so I asked for a $1500 increase.
2. Opened account 5/2017, initial CLI $7k.
3. Scores are in signature -- haven't updated them for a while, but they're basically the same as they were in 4/2017.
I used the link that was available from my account under "self service". I haven't seen this "new" link (or request form) that I've read about or seen mention of.
The one I used had me fill out various data and mentioned specifically that I was allowing them to obtain a credit report (which they apparently didn't do from what I can tell).
