It took some recon and two application and they pulled both TU and EQ but I finally got the card. This was the card I first eyed when I started using credit. Didn't want to apply till I knew I had a shot.
My fico 8 at time of approval was TU 758 and EQ 740. They pulled other scores which were lower. 707 and 701 respectivly.
First application was approved for a 500 Cash Rewards visa. I called and told them they can keep it and that I'm only interested in the cash plus. They put in a 5k CLI request and I called back 2 days later. The request was approved and I asked to PC to Cash+. Rep said they can't PC but I can apply again and they can note to use the 5k CL as a transfer for the application to Cash+
called back today and they said i was approved for a 6k CL for the Cash+ card. Score!
Perfect timing because I was going to buy some furnature and now I get 5% off.

I'm hoping they will let me move the limit from my Skypass card over to Cash Rewards and PC it into Cash+ later this year as the Cash+ really is an amazing card to have in any rewards arsenal

Congrats! Mine started at $5,500 with auto CLI by treating US Bank right, they have been very
generous. They have tightened up on the Cash+ rewards but still a great card in my opinion!

Congratulations, and thanks for sharing your experience in the recon sequence!
You should keep that Cash Rewards card open, and use it lightly for a while. Eventually, it will be able to PC into a second Cash+ for you, then you get 2 2% categories and 4 5% categories to work with.
And +1 to ColdMN, the auto CLI will likely come along about 10 months in. They did for me.
