US Bank Secured Graduation

No judgement lol. 

I didn't need the card but I opened a secured platinum visa on 08-AUG-2019 with a 300$ deposit. US bank. I'm addicted to apps therefore they will never approve me instantly for their other cards. I ran small purchases every other month, paid in full sometimes (75% of the time)and other times let a balance post. I totally forgot that it was secured and decided to call on 03-FEB-2021 to ask about graduation. I have 3% UTL, 10k in CC debt due to some fitness injuries requiring surgery, and my mortgage is 2.5 years old. No other debt besides CC and mortgage. Tons of INQ and no baddies, FICO across all 3 is between 780-805. Lots of new accounts. 

CSR stated the same verbiage as with all- HP, 7-10 days , etc. 

same minute, I got the pull on TU, I live in Dallas and USB always pulls EQ or EX for me, this was strange. 

The very next day, I logged into the iPhone app and went under "manage card" tab, instead of it stating "US Bank Secured Platinum Visa", it stated "US Bank Platinum Visa". 

I clicked on the "CLI" after, and it stated " your account is secured , blah  blah ". 

I thought maybe I wasn't approved for grad day. 

2 business days later, I try the CLI link and now it prompts me for information ! Guess I graduated !!!! 

2 questions: 

can I ask for a PC before the card arrives ? 

is it too early for a CLI? 

in other news, I saw the Venmo chatter and decided to see if I could apply. There was a banner on my app so I applied- instantly it asked me for a picture of my DL for confirmation of address etc. I took a pic and 2 minutes later got an alert I was approved for 25k at 15.24% apr. 

so that's 25,300 $ lol 😝

I recently graduated a couple of weeks ago.

As of last week, I was not eligible for a product change because the card and transition was still in process.  However, after about a month, I'm told I should be able to do a product change.

I also called last week to ask about a CLI because it kept saying the card was secured.

I was told that I would have to wait 6 months after graduation to be eligible for a CLI.  I was also told it would be yet another hard pull.

Congratulations on your graduation.  Let me know if you find out different information from what I was told.

Hello . Some updates. 

Got the physical card and called to change to cash +. Took 3 minutes to get the PC. 

went online for a CLI and pretty sure declined. Waiting for my letter .
