So, a few of you may remember that I recently closed my USAA cc over the dissatisfaction with the SL. I then immediately received a nice SL of $25,000 from Navy Fed for the Go 'Rewards. Here's the thing. Sometimes the SL you get just doesn't make sense. There isn't always a logical reason for it. The analyst could be having a bad day or there may certain criteria at the moment you apply. For example: the company may be tightening things up or loosening them up. I reapplied with fico scores that have dropped, due to a recent app spree. Three new accounts and a few new inquiries. However, only a few months later my SL is $9,000 more for the same card.
What I've learned is with the same fico scores, one financial institution will sing praises, while another say you have too many accounts, too few accounts, too little available credit, too much available credit... An analyst, like a lawyer, can spin anything. If you have excellent credit, know your worth and stand your ground. Don't give up. Write letters, talk to someone higher up the ladder and you will eventually get the results you were seeking. Two times a charm!!!
PS. Oh and BTW... My new name is Gardener Flex1! Having said that, the app spree paid off very handsomely. It was well worth the risks... At this point, I have all the cards I need.
Congrats on your approval and very nice SL !!!!!!
Gardener Flex1...
