USAA Auto CLI Surprise & NFCU 91/3

Hey Y'all..

So I returned from vaca yesterday and checked all my accounts for the first time in 2 weeks... noticed USAA gave me a $3K CLI on my Amex Cash Plus, bringing my CL from $8K to $11K. I just hit my 6 month mark last week and was contemplating whether or not to take a HP on a CLI request so this was a very nice surprise -- I will now wait til sometime next year to request an additional CLI from them. I use this card often... and PIF each month ($1K -2K monthly).

5/23 was my 91/3 date for my NFCU Plat. It's my only card with them with a SL of $4.9K and I currently have a $700 balance on the card (I also have a CLOC with a $5K limit). I'm supposed to be in the garden so was going to try to wait til 6 months to request a CLI -- but after seeing the USAA auto, the app itch returned full force. So... I unlocked EQ and went for it; requested a $10K increase to $14.9K, received the 24 hour message. A few hours later, checked my account and saw they gave an $8K increase bringing my CL to $12.9K. Not bad for 3 months of history; I have neither the need nor desire for another card so will not app for a 2nd NFCU card.

Scores in siggy are current, clean report. My DTI is quite high -- mostly due to student loans, so I'm not at all surprised NFCU did not grant the full amount requested.
