Apparently 3rd time is the charm with this one! I've applied two other times in the past, declined both times. I really wanted this card for the 2.5% cash back! I've always been very happy with USAA but they do tend to be on the conservative side when it comes to lending. My last app with them was beginning of January. I figured now that I've had two full years since my last late as of this month, I'd try one more time! Approved for 6k! I was not expecting that, but needless to say I'm a happy camper! I have 2 other cards with them currently: Rate Advantage (2.5k limit) and Classic Amex (1k limit). I'm not sure yet which bureau they pulled, but in the past they have pulled either EX or EQ for me.

Thank you, rmm140! It certainly does! Particularly with USAA, given that I had gone late on an old card with them. Everything has since been caught up and paid off, but there was a time when all they'd approve me for was a secured card!
