This is my first time posting in the myFICO community, but I just wanted to share my approval for the Venture card from Capital one! I was approved on Monday(3/13/17) with a CL of $10,000. I was prequalified on Capital One's site, and was qouted with an APR of 18.39%. However, I won't find out my actual APR until I get my card.
After a divorce in 2009, my credit tanked due to my own poor decisions. Additionally, my ex-spouse, who got our vehicle in the divorce, defaulted on payments and had the car repossessed. This hurt my credit even more and eventually I was down in the 300's accross the board. Now, 8 years later my credit is way up and I've been approved for the Venture card.
Current Stats:
FICO scores: EQ 756, TU 704, EX 693.
100% on time, more than minimum payments on credit cards for last 3.5 years.
AAOA: 2 years.
Baddies: 1 closed collection, 1 negative account (Auto, Default/Repo - 2013, Settled for less than full balance)
Credit Cards/Limit:
USAA Secured VISA: $1,000
USAA Rate Advantage VISA: $7,000
Best Buy (Citi): $2,000
Walmart: $1,100
Furniture Store Card (Wells Fargo): $3,300
I currently only have 1 card with a balance. The utilization for that card is 54%, and total over all utilization is about 24%
I'm really excited to use this card as I plan on doing some international travel within the next year! I hope my stats/approval are helpful to anyone else who may be considering applying for this card. Take care everyone and good luck!!
