It seems to be generally accepted that if you burned Chase in the past, you only stand a chance if the CO is off your reports--age definitely seems to be a factor. I don't know how that comes into play with BK though.
I'm thinking of just mailing them a check for $714 and calling it a wash. I have the money, and I know they can't ask me for it but I can still pay it if I want to.
I also burned Providian a ways back for over 5k. It is no longer on my CR, but last week, I checked their preapproval page, and was offered slate and freedom.. Applied for Freedom and was approved for 3k.

Good luck to you, OP! I probably would have apped right there while he was on the phone lol. I hope you can get him back!
Best of luck OP,
Fancy, I think WaMu took over Providian and then Chase bought out WaMu

I charged off a Providian account (settlement - paid) years ago which turned to WAMU on my CRs and then Chase. I have been denied every Chase card I've applied for since and had to recon all 4 because of it. But every recon was a success!
Starting Score: 648Thanks for the info. I want to apply for them in June, and this thread makes me nervous lol.
Keep us posted and GL if you decided to apply.
