Welcoming myself to Amex

I did the pre approvals for Amex.
Amex everyday, Gold and Cash Magnet were my 3 approvals.
I would have loved the gold but not the $195 annual fee. The cash magnet seemed blah so I opted for the everyday for the MR.

I was approved with $4,000 SL.
I was very excited considering I have only two other cards (credit one$450 and capital one $300)

Welcome to Amex! I have a Green Card, simple and basic, but I'm a rebuilder so getting in the door with Amex in any capacity was a huge deal for me! 

Remember that PRG AF is WAIVED for that first year.....so if you want to snag that, it's still a phonemenal card to pick up with those 2X MR points at Supermarkets, Dining, and Gas stations. 

Either way the Magnet cards is a beauty! Enjoy!

That’s awesome! Looking forward to getting a little farther in my rebuild and being able to get my own AmEx. My dad has been a loyal member since I was a little kid and swears by them. It’s almost a rite of passage. Enjoy!

Congrats Hope you enjoy your experience. I really enjoy blah cards so Magnet is great for me but ED is nice too. Just dont tell that to tcbofade in our garden club

LOL! I was going to get the magnet but since I love shopping I find that the rewards would be better for me as opposed to JUST the cash back. I looked at the retailers they have listed and could see myself getting a few gifts cards that would be perfect for the holiday time.
