First some background. A few years ago I was looking at a way to keep my only relationship with Wells Fargo (Propel World card) alive as I no longer had a use for this particular card. At the time, they told me a PC was impossible and to apply for the card I wanted, then ask for a reallocation. So I applied for a standard Platinum card and got approved for $1,000 at 26.49% APR. After numerous calls and going back and forth, I finally found someone who knew what a reallocation was and since 2015, the card has seen little use and a $9k total limit.
Today I was playing around on the website and naturally I gravitated to the "Manage Credit Limit" tab. It gives two options; Request an increase or request a reallocation. The language alludes to it being a soft pull unless it cannot make a decision for you, when it will be a hard pull. Fortunately I didn't get to that point and my crazy high APR card went from $9,000 limit to $11,300 (I requested $20k so it counters):
Congrats on CLI! I don't have any WF cards, so I know nothing about HP/SP CLIs with them.
Congrats B335is.
Awesome! The fact that it was a SP is even sweeter.
Congratulations! I tried it a couple days back but they didnt give me an increase. Still no HP though so no harm done
Congratulations B335is.
Same here as another reply above mentioned. No WF card in this current pool and the only time on a try for one was a co-branded with who else, Dillards, which didn't quite make the grade for approval at the time.
Congrats on the approval! Have you tried for an APR reduction? Seems people have had luck doing so.
what! Ive gotten three CLIs from WF on my platinum card, but called in every time! I didnt know they had an online request option!
ok i still cant find anywhere about an online CLI. where did you find that?
