I was looking for a card to replace my 2 capital one cards which have low limits.
I've been banking with Wells Fargo for over 15 years. Did not burn them in Bankruptcy back in 2010.
I've been reading through the forum and see lots of post about Wells Fargo looking at how much money you have in the bank with them as one of the consideration for a credt card.
I only have a checking account with them. I keep my savings in a different bank. I don't keep a lot in myy checkings either.
I went to my local branch today, Saturday, was told I had a pre-approvall offer (which I've had before and always has been denied). Spoke with the manager, he said we can always recon if they deny. Applied and an hour later the bank called me to let me know I was approved for their Platinum card with a $6,000.00 CL.
So now I have no use for my Capital one's. Shold I close them or SD them?
