Wells Fargo active cash approval!!

I thought I would add info to help anyone on the fence. Just approved for Wells fargo active cash!  SL 7k with chap13 on reports - 12 months post discharge.

Story on rebuild below

Burned - Chase, Amex, Cap1, Schwab, GMsac, US com/CU,

Last payment- Oct/2024

Discharged- Jan/2025 (scores- 580s)

1st app/Cap1 QS- 4 days after discharge -approved 4k unsecured.(Cap1 sent invites for Plat that was burned the entire time on BK but didnt bother and lived off cash)

2nd app/March2025 - US bank shoppers- approved 1k unsecured (no relationship prior)

3rd app/May2025- Cap1 Savor - approved 1k /unsecured, CLI asked 5 months later to 3k

(During gardening student loans popped up remaining balance 1k, accepted to make the min instead of paying off to get my age history for boost. Scores went up 80 pts)

Feb/2025- Opened chk/sav at Chase-parked a bit since up to now.(preparation to get back in)

Income- 65k temporarily

Dec/2025 apped WF active cash- approved 7k unsecured (fico 9 scores were 691,684,673) -23% UTI - 0/6, 3/12, 3/24- AAOA 14yrs (was showing outstanding odds CK and matched on Exp/no offers on pre-approval site. I tested my chances by doing pre-approval on discover- showed 3 cards and excellent odds on CK but apped the WF .

BK due to fall off reports between May-Oct 2026 - at that time i will be 0/6,4/12,4/24,  scores hopefully 780 -800) and 20k parked at Chase. Saving a spot for the 5/24 rule 👌 - mgr said I could get back in once BK is off reports with the flex but to app at branch.

Best of luck to all. Low limits to grow but didn't want to get cards to close later. After Chase flex to get CFU back, eyes to be on CS, Fidelity and luxury blk.

Cap1QS - 4.5k

USbsh- 1k

Cap1Savor- 3k

WFactivecash- 7k

. . . . .

 Chk/svgs -  USbank-after approval

Chk/svgs - Chase-start of discharge

 New CU -  5k parked

Congrats on your WF approval but Barclay's luxury black?  Can I ask why as AF is high and benefits not good as much better cards out there for lower AF and better benefits/rewards.

Nice! You could move $4k of your CL from Quicksilver over to the Savor and close the Quicksilver.  It's not old enough to hurt your age by closing it and I'm doubtful you'll use it now that you have a 2% card.

Re: Wells Fargo active cash approval!!

Thanks lol, you read my mind. I was actually thinking about doing that weeks ago. The only thing is I wasn't sure if Cap1 would close it or leave a small balance on it. If I do that it needs to be soon because I lose 3 accounts and age history in 2 months once my student loans paid. That's the main reason I pulled the trigger on the WF being a 4th in 12 but I didnt apply or have any cards for 5 years so maybe it falls in the 24 window. Your thoughts?

Thanks a lot! I had received mail before filing from Barclay and it showed 2% flat and a good bonus so I was assuming to test my luck later. But if it's not all that I will look at others as you stated. I appreciate the info.

You can't move all of the CL over. You'd have to leave $500 on the Quicksilver.  You could leave it open, but it's not going to change your score even if you close it.  It will still help your age for the next 10 years before it drops off your report.

Re: Wells Fargo active cash approval!!

Yes, read that earlier from forums. Thanks for input back. I will only have 5 accts total after losing the 3 student loans. Leaving me the 4 cc's and vehicle until BK comes off. Hopefully by April if I'm granted the 6 months early to remove. The list below I may consider too

Citi double cash

Navy rederal

Bofa

I mainly want all "flat" cash back cc"s (2%) and 1 or 2 for flights/hotels.

And most that allow SP's for CLI (Cap/WF so far)

If I eventually move balance and close QS I'll replace with CFU and one of the cards above.

Congratulations!

fyi, wells seems to like a relationship, they turned down my cli once because of my checking balance.

if you like flat cash back, you might like the 3% aven.
