Hello All, Started with Discover It Miles first. Was instantly approved so thought, "Why not? Let's go for the Discover It CLI too."
Glad I did.
1. Got my first Discover (It) Card in October 4, 2016 $5500 (instant approval) 1st CLI increase - January 4 or 5, 2017 CL increase $1500 to $7,000 (instant approval)
2nd CLI Increase - February 12, 2017 CL increase $1500 to $8,500 (2 day message--approved within 6 hours)
3rd Attempt: No increase - March 12, 2017 Auto-Decline
4th Attempt: 3rd CLI increase - April 2, 2017 CL increase $1500 to $10,000 (instant approval) (Several attempts every month or every other month since then, no dice)
Umpteenth Attempt: Hit the Luv button today and got $4500 increase (instant approval) .
Now, my CL is $14,500 - Spent about $1400 on the card during the fourth quarter 2017 for Amazon and the 1st quarter 2018 for gas purchases.
2. Got my second Discover (It Miles) card in November 2017 SL $1,000 (Instant approval but was not happy with the low starting limit.
1st Attempt: January 20, 2018 - No increase.
2nd Attempt: February 21,2018 - $1500 Past couple of months, I have put about $1000 spend on the card in total, paying down the balance as soon as charges post. Credit Line is now $2500.
I am pretty happy with Discover at this point. I think I am done with requests on my Discover It. However, I will continue to request for the Discover It Miles. Want to get it to at least $10,000.
Fico 8 TU 693 and 2 inquiries in the past 12 months. Fico 8 Ex 709 and 3 inquiries in the past 12 months.
