I put in for a cli on my discover..had it for 2 months..when i pushed the cli button on my account page it was not approved at this time, but today got email stating that congrats blah blah blah for 2000 more...it was a nice surprise
That just means you requested it a little too early. Now what you need to do is go back online and request another CLI RIGHT AWAY and there's a very good chance another $1000-$2000 is waiting for you. This is known as the "DDD" or Discover Double Dip. My father did this today and got another $2600 a few hours after he got an auto CLI of around $5k.
I had my card for almost 3 months so after reading your post I just asked for a CLI and got $1000. Wish it was more since this is my lowest limit card which is now at $3500.
Congrats on your increase!!
ah thank you all..wow thanks for sharing the double dip experience will try that
I just hit the 3 month mark with my Discover IT card(3rd statement), I was expecting an auto CLI after three months, I read in a thread on here that they usually show you love after about 3 months. I don't know if I should request a CLI or just wait it out at this point. They started me with $1,400.00 Right now My scores are 688 Equifax, 730 Transunion, 744 Equifax. SHould I just wait it out?
Congratulations on your CLI!!

@Anonymous
Any luck? I was denied (waiting on reason why) after second statement cut. I'll try again in one to two months.
