nfcu 10000 cli?

yesterday my third statement cut for my nfcu platinum visa, which put me at 96/3. SL was 6800 and I have charged ~1000 through it always PIF. applied for the credit limit increase through the website. I asked for 25000 and forget the exact response, but something along the line of request being reviewed.

three minutes later got a notification from ck about a new inquiry on EQ. I thought, darn, they just revised my fico 9 score on 4/4 at 780.

logged in to my account three minutes later and I see that my "credit limit" is still 6800, but my "available credit" is now 16800. almost 10 hours later I have not received anything and my experience in the past has been usually they respond good or bad within a few hours.

I am tempted to apply for the cashrewards now because I did not get the 25000 and there is a SUB. but I really do not need any other cc. in any case, the cashrewards overlaps my chase fu and even if I PC to gorewards in the future, that overlaps my bofa cash rewards.

I also thought about the CLOC, but am a little turned off because I applied for 15000 the day I joined and was flat out denied, no counter offer.

I feel like I have built a relationship as I have 9000 in a savings share making minimal interest and a visa buxx card for my teen.

my credit report already has two installment loans, below are my revolvers, no lates no derogs.

Send NFCU a SM thanking for the $10K CLI and ask them for a reconsideration to a total of $25K.

The amount you have in Savings has no bearing nor carrys any weight with their credit decisions. I wouldnt take denials with Navy personal, they usually open up as you can see with your recent 10k increase.

happened to me as well...the CL was updated in 24-48 hours...then a letter was received down the road with explanation, if any, for not getting what you asked...

Congrats on the CLI!  Like someone else heRe suggested, send them a thank you note via Secure Message and ask for a recon at the same time. Might get it!
