went on a little shopping spree

i wanted to expand my available credit to help my utilization.

did the SCT with overstock.com and got 2k limit, tried the luv button but no go Smiley Sad

opened an account with NFCU, got a CLOC for 5k and a credit card with 3100 limit and 14.9% APR right off the bat.

the CLOC they asked me to provide my income information and bank statements then approved. said no increase on the CLOC for at least 6 months for some reason...

my scores are 647 ex 634 tu 635 eq

i now have:

cap one qs $650 limit, started with 400

cap one platinum with 3500 limit, started at 3k then auto bump to 3500

credit one 800 limit, started with 500

credit one 500 limit, started at 400, this one's been **bleep**ty at increasing...

macys 500 limit, started at 300

overstock 2k limit

NFCU 3100

debating if i should stop or try for a few more.

Re: went on a little shopping spree

Congrats on your new accounts. What is your AAOAs? Depending what it is, I wouldn't try for any others until your scores are a little higher. Then, you can cancel your starter Credit One cards. They will not increase your credit limit, and will not grow with you. Believe me, I had them.

You can also combine your two Capital One cards into one, depending on how long you had them open, as well.

Good luck!!

Re: went on a little shopping spree

You should stop, combine, and drop the credit one accounts since they're costing you money.

Re: went on a little shopping spree

Credit one charges you a monthly "annual fee" of $6/mo right?

Re: went on a little shopping spree

Looking through the member agreement it could be even more depending on which card and how old it is.
