I had this happen to me with chase. I can't remember how much they accidentally put in my account but I'm thinking it was around 30,000 but the next morning they already fixed the error. This was  4 or 5 years ago. I was depositing a check that day when it happened.

I understand some of you saying you question the validity of this. No problem with that. But it is definitely true. I do have the screenshot of my statement and as I said before, I will post it once this clears up. And I never once said I would take the money or was on the fence. I said I have called them twice with no concrete answers and IF any money shows up anywhere - check or deposit - I will call an attorney and call  VS. And to be more specific about where the $ shows up. Here is what the statement basically says ( all on the right side):

 BALANCE

Balance From Last Bill: $4.75

+Transactions For Next: $100,004.75

Revolving Balance: $99,999.99 CR

PROMOTIONAL SUMMARY

Promotional Balance: $99,999.99 CR

=TOTAL ACCOUNT BALANCE: $99,999.99 CR

It does seem a bit far-fetched but I hesitate to say that the OP is flat out lying. But, I do wonder if you have a screen shot and intend to post it, why wait?  What difference does it make?  It's not like anyone will be able to identify you from it.  Just wondering...

It's interesting that it's a "Promotional Balance" like points maybe or something, or that you could have won a "charge and enter" contest.  The thing I think would be most interesting if for some reason they reported your available credit to the CBs as the total spend power on the card

Can you imagine what that glitch might do for your UTIL and scores?
