I want to start by saying I'm a firm believer in correlation doesn't imply causation, and I have stated this many times inside this thread. This is one reason I enjoy posting DP's and getting information to help everyone make an informed decision.

To the Meat and Potatoes:

Has anyone else noticed an issuer pattern for the 2% - 2.5% no category Consumer Credit Cards (CC) recently? They're mostly, if not all, Mastercard (MC). I have formulated a minimal list below, and I'm sure this can be debunked with all your help. I will try and keep the list live updated if this thread becomes popular.

State Department FCU's Premium Cash Back+ is a 2% Visa

[K-in-Boston]

AOD Credit Union 3% card is Visa.  NFCU Flagship (2x base w/ 3x categories) is Visa.  Double Cash, arguably the most prevalent 2% card is MasterCard.  I don't think network has anything to do with it, other than a lender's preference for one over the other.  Visa and MC Interchange rates are quite comparable, with MC business products skewing higher than that of Visa.
