2 disco-it cards. Same gas quarter. Hit threshold twice?

I'll be getting my 2nd it card in about ten days. Right in middle of gas quarter.
I am trying to spend the quarterly max with first card by the 19th.
If I do and get second card does this mean I can earn the max cash back on this quarter twice? Once with first card and again when I get second?

Yes, you can max quarters on both cards.

Edit: I will only get cards w/o activation fee. Like circle k etc

I would put my gas spend on the new card first. Even if you don't max it, the first year matching makes the cash back effectively 10% on the new card.

Definitely agree. But until I get the new card I will take advantage of my 10% since I'm still in my first year and try to Max that out before the 19th. Then I can do it all over again if I can make the spend threshold twice that would be fantastic

This is an excellent idea. Yes, the maximum applies to each card individually.

Yes I love it. LOL I figure I will definitely be needing gas in the immediate future since all I do is fill up my tank for work.
At This point I am a little bit more than halfway to the first threshold
Edit.. just to be clear I have not gotten my second card yet. I will be eligible on the 19th

so I can Max it out with the first card. Get the second card in the middle of the quarter. Max that out before the end of June. Then I would think I would be able to Max it out again next year if the gas quarter is on the same schedule. I would just have until the end of May (the day that I got the card)to do it.
Of course if I can manage to hit the max spend that's a lot LOL
