So this Sept would have been 25 years that my mom would have had her discover card . 12k limit No lates all them years . Besides all my accounts and the wifes i also manage my parents as well trying to keep track of it all and 2 weeks ago when i grabbed her discover to go put some gas (random charge) to keep it alive i got declined at the pump . Mmmm she called and they told her due to inactivity account has been....CLOSED. I was so upset ! My mom on the other hand laughed all the way back home . In her eyes one less account she has to deal with. Im still upset after 2 weeks that i feel i was a bad manager . So for the past 2 weeks i had to grab all 25+ cards between us all and go make small charges . So keep an eye on your cards my fico peeps . I have no idea how some of you with 100+ cards do it to keep track of all them . Have a good day everyone stay safe !
They told her that once its closed thats it . Her only option would be to apply for new card. She only went as high as a supervisor cause i pushed her in asking for one . Unless you know of a magic backdoor number .

Unfortunately I dont but a letter to the office of the CEO is what I would do. If they re-open I would advise it be used for something every few months if not more.
Thats an idea thank you for that .
Sorry to hear about that. Do you have a DP for us on how long it was inactive?
It was used in November last year for black friday / Christmas gifts etc. So about 6-8 months put away in the safe .
@Fico82 Yea that's a long time to not use a card even 3 months scare me so I am sure 6-8 would spook them too or they would want to 'recover' it with everything going on.
@Fico82 But I do agree I would still try a higher up especially if it was in good standing those years to get it reopened that's a great age to just let go
Yea true , thats why in a hurry i grabbed all other cards and went on a little charge spree.
You guys think its better to let these little charges actually report or dont really matter for activity? Because once they post i normally pay it off asap etc.
