My wife and I both have that same card coming due. My concern is the short term impact of closing the card. Long term I know I'll be fine, but my aaoa is just over a year and I don't want to dip below and hurt my chances of getting new cards in the short term. Ultimately I think we'll close them and get our $400 back. The card is in my nightstand collecting dust. Time to move on.
