@Rockysocks wrote:Congrats!!! Am I incorrect or are (were) they only approving people that qualified for the lowest APR? This is so strange.
I think it has to do with them using EX2 vs EX8/9. The lowest APR is for EX2 740s and mine was 752 at the time of application. It was Saeren and another member I believe who called in and provided that DP.
Thanks for the feedback! Where do we find our EX2? I wonder what scores allowed someone to get the other APRs? From our small sample of approvals, the results have either seemed to be the lowest APR or denied. Lol

I have a free trial with Experian that allowed me to view their additional FICO scores. That's how I was able to view mine.

And the 3B report from here includes it. (But not free!)
At the bottom of my paperwork in the credit disclosure the score they said they used in my decision was Experian FICO 08. The score they had was the same as the FICO 08 that was listed in my Experian account that they'll give you for free. It was 788 at the time of the app.

Latest update: I called USAlliance and asked about the possibility of a recon (i.e., since my EX Score 2 is 742), and the CSR was very pleasant and mentioned that he would be happy to put in a request for a "second review", which he said should take 1-2 business days. Hoping for the best (crossing fingers) but will tend towards expecting the worst, based on the first decline...will be sure to provide another update as soon as I have new details to report...
ETA: iirc, my current EX FICO 08 score is also 789

They used Experian FICO 08 for me also.
It was 789 at that time.

Well, if the card becomes a 2% one, it will be useful, along with your DC and FNBO ones! (I already have DC, PPMC, and Fidelity Visa for my 2%)

We can start a 2% card collectors club.
