4th contact and second month upgrade Macy's Premier Amex!!

I have now been trying for over 2 months to get my partners Macy's American Express Upgraded to Premier as we have past the $1k spend requirement...

My first 2 phone calls overseas I have posted and were exhausting and made little sense

I talked directly with credit about 2+ weeks ago and he said the first 2 times were not even prcoessed and he was very sorry and it was done now and cards would come in 5-7 days.

fast forward today and the guy starts to read the notes and says "yeah looks like we were not able to upgrade you to VIP because your account already has a reward program and is not eligible"

Me - uh, What's that mean?

him... just reading the notes, mind if I place you on hold and look into this?

10+ minutes later comes back and says he was able to add a code VIP 81 something something to the account and that new cards would be sent and he was sorry about the error before.

not sure i still believe but after confirming this time it was complete already, didn't need to go to any other departments, and he said yes... cards are ordered I said thank you and ended the call.

 

They are possibly even worse than HSBC/Capital One!

Wecome to DNSB, Don't feal bad I went thru the same stuff with them about a year ago. They said I was geting the AMEX and I never got it.
