If they take Apple Pay like the other comment says, you can use Kroger's credit card through Apple Pay for 5%

It's important to note that the 5% on mobile purchases on those 11 US Bank grocery cobranded cards is limited to only $3,000 per year, though.  Depending on one's rates, that could be a deal breaker.  Their Altitude Reserve card does have unlimited 3x earnings on mobile payments, which would be 4.5% when redeemed for travel.

+1

I usually pay State Farm using their app w/Google Pay and the Altitude Reserve.

PPK would be ideal during the Paypal quarters (Discover and Freedom) but of course in a few days that's going to be a non-issue. Smiley Sad

Re: 5% CB for GEICO, which card?

In the past two years, I switched from Geico to Statefarm and afterward, to Metromile. I used either BOA Premium Rewards CC (~2.6%) or PPK (5% quarterly category of Discover/CFF). There is no fee to use CC.

Metromile app accepts CC only (but not PP or Google/Samsung pay). Therefore, the USBank 5% digital wallet cannot get used.

AOD gives 3%. Affinity Cash Rewards give 2% on bills like utilities, mobile phone, internet & streaming services. It may cover car insurances but not sure. You may check also US Bank Cash+. It would be excellent if it would by chance cover it in its 5% categories.

Fico8: EX~EQ~TU~810 (12 month goal~840).
BOA (CCR, PR), Chase (CFF, CSP, Amazon, CIC), US Bank (Cash+, AR, Go, Ralphs), Discover, Citi (CCC, DC, SYW), Amex (BCP, HH, Biz Gold, BBC), Affinity CR, Cap1(Walmart), Barclay View.

Re: 5% CB for GEICO, which card?

I just switched all of my insurance (home, auto, etc.) from Geico to AAA insurance and saved $550 with better coverage. It's set up to auto bill my AAA Rewards Visa for 3% back (AOD would produce the same results.)

FWIW, I had a Liberty Mutual policy that was underwritten through Geico (Personal Liability) and paid on a Visa through Geico without any kind of service fee.
