5 Months of Building. Anything i qualify For?

Good Evening,

The only score i currently have a FICO with is Equifax which my Fico is a 708. Transunion and Experian have not generated a score for me yet, most likely next month i will receive a score. Are there any cards out there that pull only Equifax. I already tried the website Whogavemecredit.com, Just looking for other answers from people here. I was thinking about applying for a Walmart store card and seeing how that goes but i dont want to waste an inquiry and they try to pull from TU and EX and i dont have a score. Thanks for any advice

Keith

PS the reason i have an Equifax score is because of badcock furniture, They granted me a 1500.00 dollar loan and equifax is who they report to so i have had an Equifax score for a good 3 years now.

Capital One secured may give you an unsecured CLI after 6 months.   That is a good sign if they do. Then I suggest you try their prequalifier and if they offer a card you want, apply for it as you are highly likely to get it.   Or wait and try every few months untill they have one you want.   Also the amount of the deposit can influence the amount of the next card with them.   It can be helpful to put some extra deposit down (only if you have it).    .

Many lenders want to see a year of CC use so don't be in too big a hurry.

Re: 5 Months of Building. Anything i qualify For?

I've had a lot of pulls in the past few months. This is just my experience so do some research as your results may vary. But the lenders that pulled Equifax for me were:

1. Discover (but they pulled TU too)

2. Webbank (aka Fingerhut, Billmelater)

3. Capital One (but they pulled the other two bureaus too)

4. USAA (they pulled strictly equifax)

I also got denied in the beginning for no real history. Had to get a secured US Bank card and then use it and wait. Another suggestion is to try the shopping cart trick via Victoria's Secret, Express, Brylane Home, etc. You can search for it using the search button.

Also do you have anyone who is willing to add you as an Authorized User on their acct? I did that with a Barclaycard and was able to get prime card after only 5 months of rebuilding.

I think you have a great chance of getting a USAA card with a 708. You might want to sign up for their credit monitoring service and then apply for something like their Wounded Warrior AMEX or Mastercard (under the affiliate links). I got approved with a 720. You're close so no guarantees but there's a good chance they might give you an approval with a low limit (2000 maybe?). Worth a shot? I'd do it but I'm me. I take chances.

If I were you, I'd just wait another month. I mean I think you could qualify for one of their cards because you have a good score, but the longer you wait, your chances of being approved getting a little bit higher. I personally waited about 6 months until my 1st card aged, and then applied for 2 cards I was interested in and thought I had a good chance of being approved for, 3 weeks later, after making sure my scores were still good, I got an Amex. It is a waiting game, but if you are patient, good things will come and your chances of becoming approved for better tiered cards become higher over time.

Patience bring in bigger limits when applying for new credit. I know it's tempting while waiting, but you can never rush to good credit.

I would wait until you have had your cc at least 6 months of reporting to your credit report. I would try for a Barclay Apple Visa then garden for a year.

Re: 5 Months of Building. Anything i qualify For?

That's great news

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?
