Re: 5% or 10X back offer with Chase and Starbucks starting tomorrow 5.31.22

It worked fine for my old Freedom.  The problem is I don't go to Starbucks.  My wife does but, for some reason, she is hesitant to add certain apps to her phone.  Oh well.

Tried multiple times yesterday and today, no joy on my CSR. Multiple messages but no winner.

Switched to my Freedom Flex, tried tonight a few times, got a mix of messages, server not available and you are not eligible, but eventually got it activated on my Freedom Flex. It shows 10% as the offer earnings, which I hope means 10 UR points.

Herd about this yesterday from DD, and only was able to get the 5% on CFU Smiley Mad. I so would rather have the 10x the points in CSR, but whateves.

I've used $200 toward the $500 max, via adding to my Starbucks card.

Promo goes to August 31, racking up nice points for the effort.

Also using the "BYOC" offer to regularly get more stars as part of their sustainability promotion.

Re: 5% or 10X back offer with Chase and Starbucks starting tomorrow 5.31.22

Speaking of Chase Offers there are lots of good ones now and it's easy to creatively maneuver. I had a 20% Staples offer on 3 different Chase cards including debit. The maximum cash back is $10. I also had a Best Buy 10% offer, and 20% from Home Depot. The Home Depot also has maximum $10 cash back.

I needed a $275 item from Home Depot that is the lowest price available. I ended up buying the $50 Home Depot gift card 3 times using each of the 3 Staples offers on Chase, and likewise a $50 Home Depot gift card from Best Buy using that offer. I already had one Home Depot physical gift card in my wallet.

That's a savings of $10 on each of the 3 Staples offers, and $5 on the Best Buy offer. I had saved $5 on the physical card using a bonus feature when redeemed.

After stacking them one by one and including tax on the $275 item I ended up getting down to $63. I paid for that at Home Depot using the 20% Chase offer on my debit card. Everything went smoothly. It turned into a savings of $50 via gift gard purchase and application.

The only problem I had to avoid was when I started to use the Office Max 10% offer for a Home Depot gift card, instead of the 10% Best Buy offer. That takes you to a third party site. It wouldn't have qualified for the Chase offer. Fortunately I caught it and switched to the Best Buy offer.
