OMG that is amazing!
I have seen them be very good to new customers, but this seriously takes the cake.
I suggest trying Amex next. Try for an Amex. If declined, its probably due to blacklisting, and you should call CSR and ask for Optima.
If you're approved for Amex, you'll hopefully get backdated, but who knows. I think you need to try Amex out. Wait until Discover is reporting before you go for Chase freedom or any other card. Hopefully they will look at your Discover limit when determining what limit to give you.
Even if you have no other cards, Discover will get you by for the next 10 yrs. I had them as my only card for years.
yes, you saw that right.
now i'm wondering if i should call another company and see if i can get another one.
or just let it sink in and stop with one card. responsible credit!
wow.

wow.
You will do best to just wait until Discover card is reporting at this point before you apply for any other credit card, excluding Amex
.
Then you can go for Chase.
I would do Amex now. You will never know if you're blacklisted if you don't apply. If you are not blacklisted, then the effects of backdating on your AAoA will cause your score to go through the roof
WOW that is great!!!!
So happy for you!!!!
Now...go apply for AMEX!!!!!
