6th Statement

So my QS1 statement closes today and Credit Steps should kick in. I unfortunately came across a situation where I had to pretty much max the card but I at least put a small payment on it to drop UT down some. I hope I can get a decent CLI as this is the only month I'll have a large balance(large to me at least) post. I've read through here it's best to leave a balance to show the need for more credit. Has that actually worked for anyone?

I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you use the card often and are putting spend through it they will almost certainly give you a CLI. How much they give you is hard to say. My old Cap One card was refused a CLI many times over the four years I used it ($750 limit) and I was denied a product change, so I decided to app for a Venture and got 10k SL instant lol. Then within 2 weeks they CLI'd my old card and product changed it to a QS. Cap One is weird sometimes.

I had 70+% util. on the card at the time of my credit steps and I got a 4k increase.

Ok I didn't pay attention to when my statement cut. It cut on the 19th. Just logged into my Cap One acct credit step was increased from $300 to $3300. Feels good to have a decent credit limit.
