Re: 740!

Congrats to yourself also! My goal is also to get my score up to 760 for a mortgage some time this year and to hopefully get another card with a 10k or higher limit.

I was planning on a mortgage for later this year, but then decided against it for now.  I will have all my student loans report at the end of this year, and I'm not real sure I want to take on a mortgage yet until I see how that will all work out.

It seems like we're on the same credit trajectory, as I just got my first and second $10,000+ credit cards last Fall.  Would love to have more, but my credit profile is so much better than it was one year ago that I'm very pleased with where I am right now.

Good luck to you.

nice, I've got a couple cards starting to close in on the 10k mark.  When I started 7 months ago my highest limit was 900, now my lowest limit is 1k and I have cards at 4k, 5k and 6k.

Re: 740!

Grats. What stuck out to me is that a 740 score is only better than 58% of population. I just can't see 40% of US population having a better score.

Starting Score: EQ 551 TU 548 CK 607on 6/8/12, EX 542(AMEX pull 3/4/12)
Current Score: EQ 808 TU --- EX --- CK 804(FAKO-EX 821, EQ 823, TU 803)
Goal Score: 750

that's exactly what I was thinking also, seems like an awfully lot of people with a 740 and above.
