so how is this possible? my GF's brother asked me for credit help, I check his scores and say "769 you don't need help lol"
long and short of it is, he has been on his dads credit card for 16 years and has 1 discover of his own (less then 1 year) so he has a great score, long "history"
so if he can't even get a kohls card how can he build primary credit?
hard to believe he can't even get a darn fingerhut lol
Have you pulled all 3 of his reports from the 3 cb's? If not, do....there could be something lurking. What about his income and all that good stuff? Also, what about all of his FICO scores? What are they and are they from the 3 cb's???
Edit to add: check how many inquires he has too....double check to make sure no one else is app'ing off him.
yes Fico on all 3, they are all VERY close in score (few points off) and nothing odd there.
income is decent 87k a year
2 inquires on Experian 1 on EQ and 1 on TU
You're quick...I added about looking into his inquires as well. Make sure there's nothing going on like Identity Theft and such.
Has he had his job for awhile? idk, it seems odd indeed.
Did experian ID theft it was all clear (and he has not noticed anything funny) job wise I think 7 years or so or close too it
? about his Discover. What's his cl and utilization? What kind of card is it? Secured/unSecured?
Hey Stugotsv10,
It may be due to the score the creditor has pulled; FICO Bankcard (a number of versions could be used - 4, 8, 9). Also, even though he has a good age of account due to AU status, they may recgonize his credit history is only showing 1 card of his own at less than a year.
Has he pulled all scores/models to investigate or asked the creditor which score they're using?
