AMEX 61 day CLI approved!

Woot, I've been waiting for this day since I got my AMEX and read about the 61 days 3x CLI request. I pretty afraid as this was my first requested CLI since I got into credit 4 years ago. I was going to wait til my next paycheck to pay off my balance but I just went ahead with it and put in 3x my initial limit and was approved for the full amount! So now I guess I have to wait 6 months until my next one! Smiley Very Happy I don't know what else to say except that I'm so happy!

Congratulations!

Re: AMEX 61 day CLI approved!

I wonder how much I should ask for, I don't want a Financial review XD

I'm starting limit at $5,500 CL. I'm thinking of asking for $12,000 just incase. instead of $16,500 but then I do have another card with $17,000 limit but that's from the notariously generous Navy Federal.

You wont trigger a FR for asking for 3x CLI ... as long as you have been honest about everything up front - than you are good to go. If they don't want to extend the full 3x, they will counter like they did with me. I asked for 22,500 and they gave me 19,200.
