Tried to move most of my limit from my Shwab Investor to my Hilton Amex. Got a 7-10 day notification. TBF I havent put much spending on my Hilton card since I got the sub as im working on another sub right now. Im guessing that is likely the cause?

have you moved limits in the last 30 days?
never moved limits at Amex
A 7-10 day message is a decline.
Since you haven't done it before, it's either credit report related or you're not leaving enough on the other card.

How much did you try to move, and how much was going to be left on the Schwab Investor card?
I got the same message years ago when I was doing a move, and it was because I wasn't leaving enough on the donor card. In my case I was trying to leave $500 on my BCP, but the minimum was $1k. (Notably, I had seen others report only leaving $500 so i don't know if this was specific to me, if there was a rule change, or what, but in any case that was the issue.)
It was $500 i was leaving on it. that was the minimum that the transfer thing said i could leave on it. So i guess that $500 is just an example. I was trying to move $3500

(I have no idea why the can't just tell us up-front what the actual minimum we have to leave on the donor card is... it would make things so much easier.)
