Amex recently gave me a CLD. They said if I made a $580 payment they would restore my old credit line.
I went ahead and just payed the card all the way off.
Does anyone know how long it takes or if there is another action I need to do to restore it?
That's different...is there a reason why this was the case...?

How is that different? From..?
Often times if AmEX takes AA (insert reasons for CLD besides non-usage) can often reinstate the CL with the stipulation of PIF or significantly lowering the balance by X timeframe.
Credit limit was restored!
Thanks!

Just for my own curiosity, do you know why they CLD you in the 1st place. Were you paying minimum payments? Did you carry a large balance for a few months?
Thanks for giving some DPs.
They never gave me an exact answer as to why.
I did have a balance of $1200 on there and paying $100/month.
They said pay it to $580 and we'll restore your balance.
Figured i'd just pay it all the way off

Thanks for sharing. Yep, that did it. They were thinking it was going to take a year to pay that off and longer if you were paying interest.
