Hey myfico community. So over the weekend I decided to apply for the BCE. I was going to go for it in July, but since I had gardened properly and most inquiries fell off, and since I brought my UTL down earlier this year than expected, I decided what they hey. I got the 7-10 day message. First thing while in my Monday morning meeting a Utah number called my phone. Of course I excuse myself not knowing who that was. I was unable to speak to her at that time so I called back after the meeting. I was approved without any questions asked which I'm excited about. I was only approved for $2000 though. WOW I just thought I would get a more aggressive and higher limit. I plan to use this card for gas purchases only at this point and PIF each month. I want to make it my primary, but with a low limit, I'll wait until the 61 day CLI. Hopefully I'll get approved for it. I hear it's 3 times the CL. Is this true?

I got $2K too for BCP. Congrats though
The maximum AMEX soft-pull online/phone CLI is (as far as I know) three times your current limit. That has been my experience, anyway...
$2,000 isn't particularly out of step with a lot of the BCE limits being thrown out there though. Putting aside your BOA card, it seems to be about what you have across the board... If it got a manual review, it wouldn't surprise me that they would peg it right around whatever the applicant's mean/median limit is. That having been said, with a 720 and decent income, I don't think you'll have any issues jumping to $6,000 when the opportunity comes around.
Congrats!

Congrats!
Mine was $300 - just one card
That's not too terrible a limit, considering your other limits and the fact that you can ask for 3x your current limit after a mere 61 days. Just ask for $6,000 then and see what happens.
