Hi Guys,
Today I got approved for my very own AMEX BCE! ![]()
However, my credit limit is only $3k and was wondering what I could do to possibly have it reconsidered to match my highest CL ($5K)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

just wait for 61days. This is probably going to be the easiest way out.
If you try to recon your CL right now, chances are they will ask you for your tax docs and possibly pull more inquiries. Too much trouble for what it's worth IMO.

Grats man.
This one I'd like to know as well. Although my guess is no (and have you request a 61 day CLI) ; I wonder if anyone else has a success story under the same situation.

Thanks for all the input so far.
With all due respect to the others that have replied, does anyone else have any input? ![]()
I really want to use them as my primary card but dont see myself using them since the limit is so low. I spend about $3k a month expenses and would be at 100% utilization just to use them. I know I can split up my expenses between two accounts, but my goal is to only have 1 primary card to help my score.
Do I really risk having them request for income docs just becuase I request for a higher initial limit? I dont mind doing that but that seems to be pretty extreme for a recon on intial CL.

you can use the full 3k a month.
Just pay by the due date, which is usually 3 days before statement cuts.
Payments usually take 1-2 days to process and post, so as long as you PIF by the due date, the statement should report a 0 balance.
Anyhow, utilization doesn't matter if you're not seeking new credit, provided you're not dragging high balances perpetually.

Hello Enharu!
Thanks for your response... I guess thats what I'll have to do for now if i cannot recon my initial CL.

I agree, wait the 61 days and if your usage is as high as you stated, the 3x CLI should be granted.

If you want a CLI from Amex show then some use. Nearly max for 2 cycles should net you a 9K card in 61 days.
