Re: AMEX Backdating

You can get the backdating no matter when you apply.  However, let's say you apply this month, then you would have a Green card since 11/11 and a BCE since 10/11 (after backdating).  If, however, you applied in January, you would have a Green card since 11/11 and a BCE since 1/11...effectively giving you almost a year of extra history for just a few months of waiting.

Re: AMEX Backdating

back dating happens automatically if not you call to have it fixed.

Backdating works by taking the MONTH of your application for new line of credit now Oct and takes the member start date YEAR which is 2011 on your Green. So you'll have 1 year of history if you get a BCE card now. But hold off til January 1st and you'll get the January month of 2011 for a full 2 years of history. pretty nice trick right?
