Re: AMEX CLI Question Regarding FR, proof of income, tax records?

I just was approved a few weeks ago for a CLI from $19,000 to $30,000. No FR.

I have a $25k limit on my BCP and never was asked for tax records or

proof of income. I've been considering if there is any advantage for me to

CLI for $50k. I have a $50k limit on my BoA visa. If asked, I wouldn't have a

problem signing a 4506 for a cli. I've never been asked for a 4506 for a

CC account but I've filled them out multiple times for mortgages and

lines of credit. The form is transparent to your credit reports and a

total non-issue if your taxes support what you stated for income.

if you don't mind sharing the docs then I would request $75k and take counter if any... but considering your credit report already supports lines higher like that you very well probably won't have any issues!

Hello all!

My question has to do with the supposed 25k cap that an AMEX card can hit before they require proof of income/tax records, etc.

If I CLI to 25k will I trigger the request for proof of income? Should I only request up to $24,999? Can anyone verify this?

It's not a huge deal but I'd rather not have to deal with any of that stuff.

Thanks in advance.

I have a BCP with 18,000 and a Hilton Hhonors Surpass with 30,000 CL and I have never been asked to provide any Tax or income verification. IMHO nobody really knows exactly when or why that's triggered,  so I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.  Just my 2 cents. Smiley Happy
