I've started seeing many posts about amex's financial reviews in particular and was wondering what prompts these reviews. Is it using MS, spending 50% of your total annual income, maybe 80-85% total annual income, etc? I honestly cannot see how amex will issue these on a regular basis for someone who has normal spend.. any thoughts?
Try to search feature. This horse has been beaten to death soo many times its not even funny.

Nothing new about such posts. They're a very common topic.

No idea on the specifics. All we know is that it's activity that AmEx considers suspicious. The lack of knowing the details is probably why so many are so irrationally afraid of them.

As with all other threads on FR's -- no need to worry with regular usage. You probably know already if you're doing something shady.
There also seems to be some confusion over income verifcations versus FR's. While both involve the 4506-T they're very different.

We'd have to search just like you would. If any site's search feature isn't working for you then try a site restricted Google search. To search this site you'd just add site:ficoforums.myfico.com to your keywords. Here's an example:

Learn something new everyday. Didn't even know you could do that with google.
As you said, Amex is unlikely to FR people for "normal" spend. If that's the case, I would be more curious just why you are interested in learning - if that were even possible - just what type of irregular activity might set off an FR. Besides for which, if you are telling the truth in your application for credit or CLIs, there's little reason to fear an FR. Third, this is an option. Comply with the FR, or have your account closed. If you are super concerned about keeping all your financial data private from a creditor, American Express is likely not the lender to go with.
