AMEX Limited Edition Rose Gold Card

I app'ed and approved last night. Created the online account to chat with a CSR and the answer is "No".

The rep mentioned they will let me know if there's similar limited edition in the fututre. So may be they're open to other colors. Who knows.

To be fair, I think the rose gold looks really nice and is less flashy than the actual gold card.

What about a wider relaunch of the "Yellow Ball" Platinum?

"Amex Platinum Yellow: Not only is it hideous and reminiscent of urine, but after paying to attend our charity event, your card could easily be mistaken for a lower-tier Gold card."

To make it extra special, the yellow card is only available once, renewals revert to boring old plat.   I guess Rose Gold is meant to renew as Rose, right?  So this was different!

Platinum Card Members who purchase a ticket to the Yellow Ball may request a limited edition yellow Platinum Card® from American Express during the check-out process. This card can serve as a lasting reminder of your generosity and commitment to protect arts education for our country’s children. You will have access to all of the same (and no additional) features and benefits with your yellow Platinum Card that you have with your current Platinum Card. The yellow Platinum Card® can only be issued once to the Basic Card Member. Additional Platinum Card Members are not eligible to receive a yellow Platinum Card. If your yellow Platinum Card is lost, stolen, damaged, expires or otherwise needs to be replaced, you can request a replacement Platinum Card, which will not be the yellow Platinum Card.

The yellow thing looks like something Leap Frog would use to teach 5 year olds about finances.
