Saw this on my September 2015 AMEX PRG Statement.
Effective 15 Nov 15, Purchase Protection increased to $10,000 per item and is now including if item is lost (same as Platinum card).
Effective 15 Oct 15, Return Protection will include some islands in the Pacific (read statement for exact places).
Minus the travel benefits, this puts it on the same par as Platinum.
