I went on a little app spree and got the AMEX PRG, Chase Freedom (upgrade), and a BankAmericard.. I'm a broke college student, who waits tables, with farily crappy fico scores.. Granted that Chase account was grandfathered in by an ollllld providian/wa-mu/chase account from 2002..
Believe me I'm thankful, but how did this happen?!
You mind sharing your scores with us? And also the limits you were approved for.
Haha, what limits?
Freedom, 500
BankAmericard 600
Cap1 500
AMEX - Who knows?
My EX was 656, and thats the only actual FICO score that i know.. Discover wouldn't touch me and mentioned that score several times in the "screw you" letter
These are good starting limits in my opinion. I started like that. My highest limit right now is $1,500 with Chase ( on the Amazon card). I was able to increase my CL from $500 to $1,000 today on my Freedom card; that cost my a HP tho .
As for Discover, they kept on denying me over and over until they lastly approved me when I asked to talk to a manager. The amount is little but it's a good start with them. Try your luck with their recon number.. ask to speak to a manager right away.. don't explain the situation to first credit specialist and then ask for the manager .

Congrats on the progress!! Make sure you remember to downgrade that PRG next year before the annual fee is up! No reason to pay that large of an AF unless you really plan to spend a lot through it! Good to get your foot in the door with Amex now too!
Congrats. Nice start
