AMEX ZYNC!

I did something bad today and stepped out of the garden.... i applied for Zync and only got $500 preset limit Smiley Embarassed... am happy I finally got my foot in the door after three tries in 6 months... i applied two months ago!!!! Now, would I ever get the hard limit removed??? I really don't wanna get stuck with another $500 limit card (but it is AMEX after all)..... what are the chances of me getting approve for their revolver????? am super happy cause this means my credit is getting a lot better....

congrats on the card....the hard limit will not ever be removed. Doubtful that you could get a revolver since you were counter-offered with the hard limit and wasn't approved for the NPSL.

Re: AMEX ZYNC!

I think I've heard of 2 or 3 people getting the hard limit removed, as opposed to tens if not a hundred counts of people having no luck getting it removed. After building up a history, it's worth trying for, but I wouldn't bet on it happening. Their policy on this might change in the future though and you may just get lucky. Smiley Very Happy

Enjoy your amex membership, I can't wait till I app for the zync. Smiley Very Happy

Re: AMEX ZYNC!

Use your Zync responsibly and shoot for a revolver in January. Let inquiries age, show good usage and payment, and work on any issues on your reports that may have hurt you that caused a hard limit to be placed.

possibly, some say that having the Zync or being "in" with AMEX for 6-12 months helps out and others say it doesn't make a difference. I don't think it hurts your chances!
