Re: AMEX bi annual rejection

I was sort of like that with PenFed's cash rewards card, LOL! I took a long, hard look at my credit and figured getting aproved wouldn't happen until next year. Next year I won't need them and they would only be useful now for a balance transfer. I decided to move on. Smiley Happy

Re: AMEX bi annual rejection

I think I got it this time, for some strange reason.

The BIG holdup is the tele check issue which I can do nothing about, but at least this time I was able to explain that it was my ex DW this time

The last time they offered that 10k secured routine, I took a pass.

I have high Fico scores and no baddies on my reports, no lates, nothing.

If the other poster was correct, then I have about 17 days left, and then well know Smiley Happy

Re: AMEX bi annual rejection

I have a Chex Systems entry from US Bank from about 3 years ago that I have paid off... Do you think this would be a prohibiting factor to getting a card like a zync?

Re: AMEX bi annual rejection

I dunno, I do know AMEX is the only card I ever applied for that check other things besides CR's, from my experience anyways.

Is the Chex Systems thing on your CR?

Re: AMEX bi annual rejection

No, it's not on the CR's it's a totally different animal. AMEX just pulls a separate report for that company.

I wonder how accurate this really is... Do they pull Chex Systems every time? Or is it caused by something else on your report.

I can assure you its very accurate. I have been dealing with it for years everytime I apply with AMEX.

They said it was part of their scoring model.

So I assume you can have 800 FICO's and still get bagged.

If you think about it, its probably a good idea for them. You dont want to give a credit card to a person that thinks they have money, just because there is checks in the check book LOL

That would be my ex DW, bless her heart Smiley Happy
