I went through this same trouble when I was trying for an Amex Platinum... Unforunately in the end they denied me for various reasons.  Although, hopefully your results will be good!  Amex has a great product from what I have seen (aside from the FR), I hope to get in the Amex club sometime this year though!

It's time to end the story..............................Rejected, much like a red headed step child lol, AGAIN!

You might be thinking No!, much like I did lol, So after muttering many colorful metaphors at AMEX, I did what many people do.........

I apped for a BOA AMEX and was approved with 10k.

AMEX's loss End of Story lol
